NECO GCE Result for 2023 is out and over 67% of Candidates Scored Five Credits.

The National Examination Council (NECO) has announced the release of the 2023 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) external results.

A total of 50,066 out of 74,342 candidates, representing 67.35 per cent, achieved the milestone of scoring five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics.

The Registrar and Chief Executive Officer, Professor Ibrahim Wushishi, made this announcement during the unveiling of the results and the launch of the Automated Annual Posting Calendar at the Council’s headquarters in Minna, Niger State.

Out of the 74,950 candidates who registered for the exams, 74,342 participated.

Among these participants, approximately 62,530 candidates, constituting 84.11 per cent, attained five credits and above, irrespective of English Language and Mathematics.

The examination covered a total of 29 subjects.

However, the Registrar disclosed that two supervisors, one each in Oyo and Lagos states, were blacklisted due to their poor supervision, inability to control the candidates, and involvement in aiding and abetting examination malpractice.
