JAMB Introduces New Method Of Accepting Admissions on CAPS

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new method for candidates to accept or reject admissions on the JAMB CAPS Portal in the 2024/2025 academic session.

In its latest weekly news bulletin, JAMB announced the introduction of this method through its spokesman, Fabian Benjamin.

According to the bulletin, candidates must accept or reject admissions or programs using specific channels, namely 55019, 66019, or biometrics.

This development comes as part of JAMB’s efforts to simplify processes and ensure the integrity of the admission process.

The bulletin states, “As part of measures to simplify its processes for candidates, the Board has put necessary mechanisms in place to ensure that henceforth, all admissions offered by institutions can only be accepted or rejected either through the 55019 or 66019 channels or by using the candidate’s biometrics at any accredited CBT centre or JAMB Office.

This new method allows candidates to accept or reject admission offers, including program changes, using their fingerprints.

This innovative approach aims to safeguard the candidates’ information and maintain the credibility of the admission process.
