The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB Extends 2024 Direct Entry Registration by 2 Weeks.

In a statement issued by JAMB’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin, the board clarified that the extension aims to accommodate all candidates yet to complete their registration.

Initially scheduled to conclude on Thursday, 28th March 2024, the registration period will end on Thursday, 11th April 2024.

The decision to extend the registration period was made in light of the challenges encountered by candidates during the security screening process.

JAMB emphasized the importance of stringent measures to address the proliferation of fake A’level certificates among DE candidates.

Expressing regret for any inconvenience caused, JAMB assured candidates that efforts would be made to enhance the registration process, making it more user-friendly.

However, the board reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the integrity of the registration process, particularly in detecting and preventing the use of fraudulent certificates.

Furthermore, JAMB emphasized that candidates whose certificate-issuing institutions have not verified their credentials, despite repeated requests, will not be permitted to register until the verification process is completed.
