VLIR-UOS Belgium Scholarships 2025 is now open. Students from 30 developing countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America can apply for the international scholarship. Half of the African students will be given this Belgium scholarship. Women will be given preference. VLIR-UOS students taking courses in September 2025 are eligible to receive these ICP scholarships. About VLIR-UOS Training and Masters Scholarships for International Students
ICP Connect scholarship is available this year at master and bachelor level. Master or training programs which can be eligible to this VLIR-UOS Scholarships 2025 are taught in English. VLIR-UOS is providing full scholarships in 20 programs, 5 of which are new. Students will be able to transform the society in many ways as they will be leaders and change agents through ICP programs in various sectors of the society. The scholarship is fully funded scholarship in Belgium that will open up opportunities for international students to study in Flanders, Belgium.
Scholarships under VLIR-UOS will cover full tuition fee, insurance, travel and living cost. The scholarship amount available under VLIR-UOS Scholarships 2025 for developing countries is full scholarship to the eligible master program (12 to 24 months) and up to 2 years of education as a grant in the case of bachelor degree. Students cannot apply for partial scholarship or extension when they are taking this fully funded European scholarship. Successful scholars will be able to be a change agent and bring change to society back home after they have been equipped with their degree. Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility Criteria for VLIR-UOS Scholarships 2025 in Belgium:
- Are you a national of one of the 30 available countries and at the application time, you are residing in any of the available countries?
- Are you not more than 35 years (or 45 years in the advanced Master) on 1 January 2025 to be able to enrol in a bachelor or initial master program? Besides, an applicant to bachelor programs has to reach his age of 19 before 1 January 2025.
- Do you have a professional background and experience? Priority will be given to those that work in higher education, civil society or government or those working in career in any of those fields.
- Newly graduated applicants or those employed in the private sector with no work experience can also be considered if they will provide strong motivation and a compelling profile.
- You can only apply for one VLIR-UOS ICP Connect scholarship per year. You cannot receive any other grant or scholarship to participate in this study program or another program simultaneously.* Not previously received a Belgian government scholarship.

- When submitting the program application, make sure to mention if you are also applying for a VLIR-UOS scholarship.
- Do not apply for more than one ICP program per year.
- VLIR-UOS will contact selected applicants and will email them as soon as possible after the selection process no later than mid-June.
Other Requirements to Consider:
Candidates who meet the following criteria may apply for an ICP Connect scholarship:
- Nationality and country of residence: To be eligible to apply the candidates should be a national of one of the 29 eligible countries and be a resident of one of these countries (not necessarily the same country) at the time of application. Check your eligibility in our list of countries eligible to be scholarship recipients.
- Age updates: The candidate must not be more than 35 years old (January 1 of the year of entry into intake) to enroll in an initial master, and 45 (January 1 of the year of entry into intake) a master advanced.
- Experience and professional background: It is desirable to have the candidates that have worked in fields of higher education, government and civil society or intend to pursue a career in one of these spheres. Other candidates that can be taken on board are those that are working in the private sector or have just completed school but have no working experience so far and offer a good motivation and profile.* Scholarship applications: You can only apply for one ICP Connect scholarship per year. You cannot receive any other scholarship or grant to participate in this programme or another programme at the same time.
- Prizes of previous scholarships: You have not received a scholarship from the Belgian government to follow a programme and have not studied at a Belgian institution of higher education before January 1 of the year of intake.

No separate deadline. Deadline of each programme is different. So go through the programme information before starting the application.
