How LASU Screening Score is Determined

How LASU Screening Score is Determined

  1. The number of applicants applying for admission this year will determine the cut-off mark.
  2. The availability of admission quotas in each department determines the cut-off point.
  3. Both JAMB and LASU Post-UTME screening performances overall influence the cut-off marks.
  4. LASU admission policy also plays a role in determining departmental cut-off marks.

Additional Information

  • If your JAMB score is below 195, you are ineligible for LASU Post UTME screening.
  • Meeting JAMB and LASU cut-off marks is necessary, but meeting additional requirements is also essential for admission consideration.
  • Highly competitive courses like Law, Medicine, and Nursing, among others, typically have higher cut-off points.

Conclusion

Don’t give up if you don’t make the cut off for this school. You have other options to consider. First, check if there’s post-UTME or further test by the school.

Even if there isn’t, there are universities and polytechnics that give students who missed the first cut off mark a second chance.

If not, you can reapply next year. You’ll have more time to improve your score so make sure to put in more study time and if necessary, look for extra help.

You can also search for other institutions with lower cut off point. You can still find a programme that suits your criteria as many schools in Nigeria accept students with range of scores.

Some private polytechnics or universities have more flexible admission requirements.

Another option is to apply for diploma or pre-degree programme which will benefit you later on when you want to get into a university.

I’m just wondering if I can get b in my core subjectd can I study medicine and surgery in lasu even though I got 195 in jamb due to some medical circumstances

      1. You can’t study medicine and surgery with such score. Even if you have A’s in your core subjects in waec or Neco. The only thing you can do is, go and to a change of course to either Botany, Zoology or Biochemistry. Then after your first year you can change that’s if you meet up with the CGPA of 4.50
