How to Register for WAEC 2024/2025

To register for WAEC and purchase the form online, follow these simple steps:

  1. Visit the nearest WAEC office or secondary school.
  2. Request the 2024/2025 WAEC registration form.
  3. Provide all the necessary information and submit it.
  4. An official will assist you in completing the registration process online, which includes enrolling your fingerprints and capturing your personal information using the WAEC Biometric Data Capture software.
  5. After submitting your application, the system will assign a centre to you and generate your examination number.

Requirements for WAEC 2025 Registration

To register for WAEC 2025, you will need the following documents:

  • Passport-sized photograph
  • Your school identification card
  • Your birth certificate or affidavit
  • Your signature
  • Your examination fee payment receipt

  1. Make sure you have your NIN handy, as it’s now a compulsory requirement for WAEC 2025 registration.
  2. Ensure that your surname, first name, and other names are accurately captured using the registration software.
  3. Take a photo using a webcam that meets the recommended specifications: at least 2.0MP 720p USB 2.0, with high-resolution RGB colour and support for Hi-Speed USB 2.0 certified 2.0-megapixel sensor, capturing up to 30 frames per second. We recommend the Microsoft LifeCam HD 3000 webcam for optimal results.
  4. Provide your contact details, including your compulsory telephone number and email address, as well as your residential address, city, postal address, and state.
  5. Select your preferred state and town for the examination venue. The system will automatically assign the exam centre.
  6. English Language and Mathematics are compulsory subjects and will be automatically selected for you.
  7. Choose a minimum of seven (7) and a maximum of nine (9) subjects for registration.
  8. Carefully read the declaration section and check/tick the checkboxes before submitting your form.
  9. Once you submit your application, no further modifications can be made.
  10. Remember to print your admission notice/photo card, which you’ll need to present at the examination hall.
