About the Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK)
The establishment of Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) took place in 2002 with the mission to create higher education possibilities for Nasarawa State residents and all adjacent areas.
The establishment of the university came about because personnel deficits needed to be solved in the state. The academic program at the institution started officially in March 2002 led by Professor Adamu Baikie as its interim administrator.
NSUK distributes its educational facilities across Keffi for its main campus and operates branches at Lafia then Gudi and Pyanku.
NSUK provides more than 70 different programs between undergraduate and postgraduate levels throughout Administration, Arts, Social Sciences and Natural and Applied Sciences, Education, Law, Environmental Science, Health Science, Agriculture and Engineering.
The university has established vital dates during the 2024/2025 academic year in its established academic calendar. All students resume on January 12 2025 before lectures formally begin on the subsequent day January 13.
Students need to complete their registration by January 19 and can continue with late registration during January 26. The matriculation celebration for new students will take place during February 14.
The first semester tests will begin on April 14 yet they will end on May 4 before students receive their semester break.
