If you’re interested in programmes that require Literature in English, programmes like English and Literary Studies, Mass Communication and Languages and Linguistics are good options. For these, you should have O’Level credits in English language, Literature in English and other relevant subjects. Specific requirements may vary so check the exact requirements for each programme.

Visit the KADPOLY website to access the application portal, input your personal details, academic qualifications and select your preferred programme. Make sure you go through all the admission requirements thoroughly to avoid hiccups during the application process.

Before you buy the JAMB Form ensure you know the courses offered in your school, the school Cut Off Mark, and the JAMB subject combination. This is very important for admission.

About the Kaduna Polytechnic (KADPOLY)

Kaduna Polytechnic, commonly called KADPOLY, is one of the biggest and best polytechnics in Nigeria. It is located in Kaduna State and has been in technical and vocational education for a long time. The institution was established in 1956 as Kaduna Technical Institute after the British government decided to establish technical training centers in Nigeria.

In August 1962, the Northern Nigeria Executive Council upgraded the institution and named it Polytechnic, Kaduna. This was later formalized by Decree No. 20 of 1968 and revised by Decree No. 79 in 1979. The Polytechnic merged College of Science and Technology and Staff Development Centre and later the Survey Unit.

A major milestone was reached on 27th August, 1991 when the Federal Government took over the administration of KADPOLY under Decree No. 40. This brought more facilities, funding and academic programmes. Today the institution has over 25,000 students and almost 3,000 staff, making it one of the biggest polytechnics in Africa.

Kaduna Polytechnic has multiple campuses, each specializing in different fields of study. The Tudun Wada Main Campus houses College of Engineering and College of Science and Technology. College of Business and Management Studies is in Ungwan Rimi, College of Environmental Studies is in Barnawa and College of Administrative Studies and Social Sciences is in Sabon Tasha.

KADPOLY has over 138 programmes in engineering, business, environmental studies, applied sciences and social sciences. The institution is known for producing graduates who are skilled and can contribute to Nigeria’s economic and technological growth.
