UNICAL School Of Nursing 2024/2025

The School of Nursing, situated within the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital Calabar, invites qualified candidates to apply for admission into its Basic Nursing Training Programme, which awards the National Diploma and Higher National Diploma.

This esteemed three-year programme boasts highly affordable school fees, making quality nursing education accessible.

Important Dates and Examination Details

The University of Calabar (UNICAL) entrance examination for the School of Nursing is scheduled for 10th August 2024.

The examination will be held at the School of Nursing Premises, Moore Road, and UCTH Permanent Site, Calabar, starting promptly at 8:00 a.m.

Successful candidates will progress to oral interviews at the UCTH Permanent Site, and further details will be communicated to them in due course.

Requirements for UNICAL School Of Nursing 2024/2025

To qualify for the UNICAL School of Nursing, you must have obtained at least five credits in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology in under two sittings from SSCE or NECO.

Candidates who chose the School as their First or Second choice and scored a minimum of 190 in the 2024 UTME are eligible to apply for admission from 27 May to 12 July 2024.

Also, Candidates intending to change their courses of study to “Nursing Sciences” are eligible, provided they have effected a change of course with JAMB.

Additionally, applicants must fall within the age range of 17 to 35 years by November 2024 to be eligible.

How to Apply for UNICAL School Of Nursing for the 2024/2025 Academic Session

Follow these instructions to secure your place in the UNICAL School of Nursing:

1. Visit the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital
2. Proceed to the Office of the Principal, School of Nursing, University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Moore Road, Calabar, to obtain the application form.
3. Pay twenty thousand Naira Only (N20,000) at EKONDO MICROFINANCE BANK along Muritala Mohammed Highway. The account number for payment is 1100757926.
4. Exchange the teller for an official receipt at the UCTH Treasury Permanent site.
5. Present the official receipt to the Principal of the School of Nursing.
6. Finally, visit UCTH along Moore Road to collect the Application form.

To be considered for admission to the UNICAL School of Nursing, ensure you submit your completed Application Forms, accompanied by photocopies of relevant documents, to the Office of the Principal before the 15th of July 2024 deadline.
