About the Osun State University (UNIOSUN)
UNIOSUN is a public university located in Osogbo, Osun State, Nigeria. It was established by the Osun State Government in December 2006 to increase access to education. Academic work began in 2007 and since then the university has grown to be one of the best state universities in Nigeria.
One of the unique things about UNIOSUN is its multi-campus structure. Unlike most universities that are based on a single campus, UNIOSUN has six campuses across the state. Each campus specialises in different academic programmes.
The Osogbo main campus houses the administration and core faculties while the other campuses in Okuku, Ikire, Ifetedo, Ipetu-Ijesha and Ejigbo focus on Management Sciences, Humanities, Law, Agriculture and Health Sciences.
The university offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in various fields such as Science, Arts, Education, Law, Engineering and Social Sciences. It is fully accredited by National Universities Commission (NUC) and has received awards for academic excellence.
