To gain admission into University of Jos (UNIJOS) you must meet certain requirements. You must have at least 5 credits in your O’Level exams (WAEC, NECO or NABTEB) including English Language and Mathematics.
These credits must not be more than 2 sittings. Some courses may also require specific subjects so check the departmental requirements.

About the University of Jos (UNIJOS)
The University of Jos is a federal university located in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. It started in November 1971 as a satellite campus of the University of Ibadan. By January 1972, it took in its first set of pre-degree students.
The institution introduced its first Bachelor of Arts degree programme in October 1973. In October 1975, under the military government of General Murtala Mohammed, UNIJOS was upgraded to a full university. Professor Gilbert Onuaguluchi was the first Vice-Chancellor.
Classes began in October 1976 with 575 students in four faculties: Arts and Social Sciences, Education, Natural Sciences and Medical Sciences. The university introduced postgraduate programmes in 1977. By 1978, the Faculties of Law and Environmental Sciences were established and the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences was divided into two separate entities.
Over the years, UNIJOS has grown. Today, it has a diverse student body and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The university is committed to quality education and excellence.
