About the Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA)
The Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) achieved its founding status on February 16, 2011 through an initiative by the Nigerian federal government to increase access to quality higher education in Nigeria.
The university began academic operation in 2012/2013 through its two faculties Arts & Social Sciences and Science at its Lokoja location serving as Kogi State capital.
The university began operation in 2011 with eleven educational programs which included English, History, Economics, Political Science, Geography, Biological Science, Chemistry, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics and Geology.
The university has developed through years by offering additional courses while increasing facilities to open admission for additional learners.
The two campuses of FULOKOJA are situated along Lokoja-Okene expressway in Felele and behind Kogi State Specialist Hospital in Adankolo.
The university is expanding its premises to establish better learning spaces and create an excellent academic environment for its students.
