What are Chevening Scholarships?
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) funds Chevening Scholarships, an initiative of the UK Government, for international postgraduates with high leadership potential.
These scholarships allow them to study a master’s at a British university and build academic and professional networks that can be used to forge strong links with the UK and have a positive impact on their home countries.
The Chevening programme offers significant funding as well as plenty of extracurricular activities and service opportunities to help Chevening Scholars fully enjoy their time in the UK and get immersed in British culture. These include networking events with other scholars in the programme as well as UK wide tours.
We recommend reading Loshana’s blog on her own Chevening experience if you want to learn more about these opportunities.
